Susan

I have been a proud Ashland resident for more than 34 years. My husband and I raised our three children here. I am deeply rooted in the community as a Rotarian, Oregon Shakespeare Festival Board member, healthcare marketer, nonprofit leader, and local history buff. I truly love this beautiful corner of southern Oregon—where vibrant culture, outdoor adventures, and a strong sense of community create an exceptional quality of life for families, professionals, and retirees. I initiated the website liveandworkinashland.com to highlight Ashland, Oregon’s local culture and outdoor recreation and opportunities to work from home, run a local business or raise a family.

As a real estate broker with a background guiding clients through meaningful life transitions, I am passionate about helping people make confident housing decisions that support every stage of life. Whether purchasing your first home, upsizing, or downsizing for a simpler life, I draw on both experience and empathy to support each step.

My professional background includes healthcare marketing and community education for Asante and Ashland Community Hospital; nonprofit leadership of two hospice residences, Celia’s House and Hopewell House; and community health education across Jackson and Josephine counties with La Clinica and the Jefferson Regional Health Alliance. My education includes a business degree from University of Oregon and Master’s in Management with an Aging Services certificate from Southern Oregon University.

Remodeling and expanding our own home and leading two large hospice home renovations developed my skills and knowledge of construction and re-envisioning spaces.

Whether you’re searching for your next home or preparing to sell, I’m here to guide you with integrity, insight, and a genuine commitment to your future well-being.

Client Testimonials

I feel very fortunate to have found Susan Hearn to represent me in the purchase of my property in Ashland this past April. Her calm, steady, and grounded presence helped to calm my often real and imagined anxieties. Susan is smart, business-savvy and articulate with a deep connection to the Ashland community. I especially recommend her to solo females who may not be comfortable with buying and selling property and want an agent they can trust. You went above-and-beyond, Susan. Thank you!
